César Salazar, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Devsu, was selected as a Globee Awards Gold Winner for CTO of the Year in 2022. To celebrate this impressive achievement, learn more about the Globee Awards and how César earned this recognition.

Globee Awards Standards

Established in 2003, the Globee Awards are an annual international business award program and competition. It’s designed to acknowledge and commend how companies and professionals have contributed to the world and achieved success.

Globee Awards organizers select peers and experts in the industry to review the submitted nominations, and the average score from these judges decides who receives the award. The scoring system is on a scale of 1 to 10, and the Globee tiers are Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Only the top nominee receives the Gold Globee award. Those who score at least 8 out of 10 receive the Silver Globee, and any other reviewed nominations receive the Bronze Globee.

How César Won the CTO of the Year Award

For the annual 2022 Globee Awards, César’s nomination story described the complete image of his career thus far as co-founder and CTO. Not only did it include his accomplishments with development products and services at Devsu, but also his contributions as one of the top technology leaders in the world.

Truthfully, César has been passionate about technology since he was a child. He started programming at the age of 12 and went on to get his degree in Systems and Computer Engineering.

He has consistently solved talent gaps internationally by developing more talent in underdeveloped countries. Recently, this involved satisfying the shortage of programmers and has only expanded from there to create more opportunities.

During his 20+ years in enterprise technology, César has participated in and led project development for U.S. Fortune 100 companies and major Latin American (LATAM) companies. His considerable expertise is related to technology management, lean and DevOps implementation on enterprise, cutting-edge web technologies, mobile applications, and secure systems. César has an in-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and software delivery best practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and TDD (Test Driven Development), among others.

As an Ecuador resident, César always looked at technology as a means for helping people to overcome poverty in Ecuador and LATAM. This perspective has translated to his work with Devsu–a software development company–along with its policies and the benefits it offers its employees.
